In CSA’s transition to hybrid learning, the Supreme Student Council (SSC) has brought the CSA SKY Program (Student Leadership, Knowledge, and Youth Ministry) online, which was made possible with Student Activity Coordinator (SAC) and SSC adviser, Mr. Ehprem Nicol C. Caunca, as an avenue for Augustinians to take a breathing space in this new setup of learning.
“The CSA SKY Program is a buffet of learning experiences and opportunities that acts as an avenue for students to explore different skills, hobbies, and fields of knowledge,” said SSC President, Emilla Andrea B. Coronel.
Coronel expounded that the program is a platform for all the student organizations to create interactive materials and projects for all students of the High School department.
Organizations like the Augustinian Dance Troupe and the CSA Red and Gold Boosters will be posting dance challenges to reach their physical health, while the Adeodatus Scholarship organization and Wildfire will be tapping into their spiritual health with daily Bible reflection posts and online worship on Youtube.
The Young Diplomats’ Circle will be hosting webinars on diplomacy and other issues, and the Honors’ Society will be aiding grade 11 and 12 students by compiling reviewers and other academic materials.
CineBathala Director’s Cut, will be launching a website along with workshops in film and photography, and Teatro Punlahi will have online performances that would inspire societal awareness.
“We also believe that this program may not cause such a drastic change to the usual online learning, for it is not a requirement for students to join our program, but we did want to express not only the SSC’s, but also the school administration’s support and appreciation for the talents and skills of Augustinian students in the Arts, Culture, and other fields,” the SSC President stated.
Coronel said that the SSC along with the SAC thought that it was important to allow Senior High-headed organizations to protect the continuity of other organizations and to recognize their officer’s hard work.
However, she clarified that for this year, the organizations do not function independently, but are contributors to the SKY Experience Program, and they will be overseen by the SSC.
“Teachers are also welcome to explore these different materials as they may also use this as an avenue to rest after working long hours,” the SSC President added.
The CSA Sky Program is set to launch its first batch of activities and materials starting August 3, and can be accessed through Google Classroom at f53bomz with a CSA Gmail.
