“The academe is very prepared for it (opening of classes). The teachers were oriented early on how the hybrid learning is going to be done. Online materials have been prepared ahead of time. I think they are one or two months ahead already and are finished.”
Thus said by the school’s computer services coordinator, Michael A. Ciao, on how much Colegio San Agustin (CSA)- Makati is ready for the opening of classes in a virtual press conference last July 22.
According to Ciao, providing an avenue for students to log in online was the major change they had to undergo as it is something new to the school’s system.
“The biggest change or adoption we have to put into place is that the classrooms now are virtual. It’s why we pushed for a google classroom because you feel like you have a virtual classroom to go to,” he explained.
Although he admits that there are areas for improvement, he guarantees that CSA is very committed to making the hybrid learning program beneficial to all.
“It’s totally normal to doubt (the learning program) because everyone is trying to weigh out this pandemic and this online learning, but as of right now this is the new normal. Being with CSA, you would know that we will try to make a way to make it work and make sure that the delivery of our instruction as well as all the activities we planned out will be to its best. The students will be our top priority, their education is our top priority,” Ciao assured.
CSA will officially commence this academic year on July 27, putting into action its hybrid learning program.
