© Manarondong

Ladies and gentlemen, we are back in quarantine. We are back to digging through our pantries and fridges, looking for something to snack on, not that we have ever stopped, and finding nothing but raw ingredients. But instead of going online and spending more money to buy delivery or takeout, why not do something with those ingredients lying around the kitchen? Here is a list of recipes you can make with ingredients you can find at home:

1. Mac and Cheese

Who doesn’t love mac and cheese? It’s a classic dish, and this recipe only takes SEVEN MINUTES to cook! All that you need to make this dish is cooked pasta, cheddar cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Put them in a microwave, mix, and you’re done!

2. Banana Bread

Don’t know what to do with the overripe bananas sitting around in your pantry? Well do not fear, banana bread is here! Banana bread is the perfect solution for those overripe bananas you have lying around the kitchen. This recipe requires flour, baking soda, salt, butter, brown sugar, eggs, and of course, bananas. It takes a total of one hour and 20 minutes to make, but the reviews have proven the ingredients and preparation time to be well worth it.

3. Peanut Butter Cookies

These cookies are THE BEST if you are just trying your hand at baking. These cookies take a total of two hours and 18 minutes to make, including the time they take to cool, but it only requires four ingredients which can easily be found in your kitchen. It’s perfect for beginner bakers!

4. Honey-garlic Cauliflowers

Leaning towards the healthier side, here is a recipe that can surely make you WANT to eat cauliflowers. You will need flour, breadcrumbs, eggs, honey, soy sauce, garlic, lime, sriracha (which is optional, so you can omit it if you’d prefer), corn starch, and cauliflower. It only takes 35 minutes to prepare, and it’s a healthy option for when you’re feeling snacky.

5. Banana Milk

This banana milk recipe comes from our very own Nigella Justine Perez of batch ‘23! You will need two small ripe bananas (or one large banana), one cup of milk, one tablespoon of honey, and one teaspoon of vanilla. It is optional to add sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips, but adding them adds an amazing twist to this recipe. Mix all of these ingredients together and there you have it: a glass of banana milk for you to enjoy!
