Colegio San Agustin - Makati (CSA) Assistant Principal (AP) for Academics Ringo Blanca reflected on the teacher-training experience for the Hybrid Learning Program (HLP) this year, describing it as an "adventure straight out of a Jules Verne book" in an interview with Insights-Salik.

Blanca enumerated the challenges faced during this year, starting with the composition of teachers in different departments and designing a meaningful capacity-building program for them.

"Within the demographic are a variety of proficiency levels in terms of using technology for remote teaching. Hence, the designed capacity-building program is integral and differentiated."

The AP for Academics elaborated on the newly adapted learning system, describing it as "venturing into terra incognita after the pandemic singlehandedly upended the education landscape" and adds that it was both a scary and exciting path to explore.

Blanca ended the interview with a message to the Augustinian community and a reminder that "education is heart work".

"Without love in what we do, even the bravest could easily break down. Times will change; we know that. Nonetheless, we should not forget our Why, that includes Love for our vocation, our learners, and our dear CSA because no matter the disruption that change will bring, so long as we pivot with Why we only have to change our strategy to be able to pull-through."
