It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League - Philippines Season 8 has opened its battlefields to eight of the country’s best teams to fight for the championship crown. This new season started on Aug. 3, 2021 and lasted until Oct. 3, 2021. The eight teams competing for this season are Blacklist International, Bren Esports, Echo, Nexplay Evos, Onic PH, RSG PH, Omega Esports, and the TNC Pro Team.

Which team will finish as the winners of the big trophy and a handsome cash prize of $35,000?

Blacklist International was crowned MPL-PH Season 7 champion with an intense comeback against the 1st runner-up, Execration. Using an undecoded winning strategy, the Ultimate Bonding Experience has become a Blacklist trademark. This winning strategy remains dangerous and overpowered in their gameplay and team execution.

Bren Esports is a well-feared team among many professional ML players. One of the MPL shoutcasters, Manjean, interviewed several players from different teams asking them questions such as “Who best plays the ML heroes?” or “Who is the best in this particular role?” Most of the answers were either Bren or one of their members, Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno. The powerful and reputable team once again fights for another championship this season.

Echo, or formally known as Aura PH, has rebranded themselves for a fresh start this season! Previously placing third last season, Echo improved and is showing impressive performances. It's only a matter of time until they climb that rank with their new players, lineup, and captain!

Nexplay Evos, or previously known as Nexplay Esports, has joined forces with the Southeast organization, EVOS, to create a new brand for MPL Season 8. Nexplay Evos sure has a big fanbase from both their gaming skills and their Tiktok talent. John-Paul “H2WO” Salonga, Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse, and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera are considered as “The Big Three” for their unique bond as friends and as a team.

ONIC PH has been a team since MPL Season 4. It had members such as OhMyVeenus, H2WO, and Wise who are now separated and went to their new teams. They are usually undefeated in every season; currently number one in the standing for Season 8. ONIC PH competes for the fifth time in hopes of finally winning a championship.

RSG (Resurgence) is a Singapore-based organization that brought together Filipino ML veteran players, rookies, and popular streamers to form RSG PH to battle in MPL Season 8. The members’ new, blended, and perfect chemistry is bound to make a new legacy for RSG.

Smart Omega Esports, MPL-PH Season 6’s second-placer, is competing again this season with a new lineup of players such as Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso, Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, Kiel VJ “Kielvj” Hernandez, Renz “Renzio” Cadua, and Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic—who came from a former MPL team, Execration, which was crowned Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asian Cup’s champion. Their experience and team composition is about to get this season heated!

TNC Pro Team is a former DOTA 2 power team that is now composed of a former MPL team, Work Auster PH, ML pro players. Along with two other veteran players, Christian "Rafflesia" Fajura, Frederic "Bennyqt" Gonzales, and Jankurt "KurtTzy" Matria, each show a mixture of gaming skills and experience from DOTA and ML.
