P78B released from Bayanihan 2 to respond to COVID-19 pandemic

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released a sum of P77.98 billion out of the P 140 billion allocated to the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act (Bayanihan 2) in response to the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) health crisis.
According to DBM, P76.22 billion of the budget came from the funds allocated to Bayanihan 2, which expires on December 19, and the other P1.75 billion are from this year’s budget allocation for the various government agencies.
The P76.22 billion will be used for human resources, special risk allowances and hazard duty pay to health workers, and to increase operations of DOH hospitals.
Meanwhile, the P1.75 billion under Section 4(rr) of Bayanihan 2 has been allocated to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), and the Department of Health (DOH).
As of October 29, the following agencies also received funds that is shown as follows:

Office of Civil Defense (P855 million)
Bureau of Treasury (BTr) - Local Government Units (P461 million)
BTr - Development Bank of the Philippines (P1 billion)
BTr - Land Bank of the Philippines (P1 billion)
BTr - Small Business Corporations (P8.08 billion)
Department of Foreign Affairs (P820 million)
Professional Regulation Commission (P2.5 million)
Department of Social Welfare and Development (P6 million)
Department of Transportation (P9.5 billion)
Department of Trade and Industry (P100 million)
Philippine Sports Commission (P180 million)
