As we face the new normal with online classes, we need to have a study area in our homes. Many would already have the needed space, but others still need a little help setting it up. Below are different designs to try out if you want a clean and unified study area.
Minimalist
Do you want some style in your area but not one that is distracting? Then, a Minimalist design is the one for you! Minimalist-styled places have little amounts of design, which would mean that your area would look clean and free from any distractions.
Artistic
Have any canvases at home? Artworks not displayed in your house? Start digging those up and hang them up in the walls near your study area. These are great for study areas that aren’t near windows.
Modern
This design is best for those study spaces with a natural vibe. Placing plants, varnished wood (may be a table or a shelf), and neutral colored-materials would be perfect for this kind of style. Focusing on natural materials and earthy colors, this design makes your area look clean and calm.
Motivational
If you’re someone who easily gets tired or unmotivated, this style would suit you the best. You may post motivational quotes, pictures, or even posters of your favourite singer or band. You don’t have to post these directly on the wall though, you can use a cork board to avoid any damages on your wall.
If you’re having a hard time setting up you study area, here are some tips to guide you:
Your area should be organized and/or should have an organizer on the side to avoid clutter and to remove other distractions on the table.
Your area should be comfortable and not too cramped.
As much as possible, there should be natural sunlight.
You should be close to a power outlet to easily charge your devices.
Once you have done these, along with enrolling in your classes, you are now prepared for the academic year! Let us help each other adjust to our new normal, and hope for the better.
